The Simpsons and Family Guy to team up in new crossover episode

It’s called The Simpsons Guy. Great.

FANS TORN BETWEEN The Simpsons and Family Guy will be delighted to hear the two shows will be joining forces very soon.

TV’s favourite cartoon families, the Simpsons and the Griffins, will be teaming up for an hour-long crossover episode called The Simpsons Guy in September.

IGN reports that the episode will find the Griffins taking a road trip to Springfield, where they bump into the Simpson family.

Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly confirmed the crossover yesterday in the network’s annual upfront presentation, saying:

Generations of fans will be talking about this one.

A short clip from the episode was shown to attendees of the presentation, but we won’t get to see it just yet.

According to Mashable, it showed Bart and Stewie skateboarding together (naturally) and Peter and Homer having a street brawl (also naturally).

Elsewhere in the episode Lisa and Meg will become pals, while Marge and Lois will “escape housewife life”.

We have a bad feeling about this.
